Senior Product Designer with 5+ years on Microsoft Security, designing investigation and detection workflows used by SOC analysts at enterprise scale. I take ambiguous, technically deep security problems through research, interaction design, and design-system work to shipped product. I build as well as design — two production applications shipped solo using AI-assisted development.

Professional Experience
- Designed the Query Resources Report, shipping to Ring 2 (Nov 2022) and GA (Feb 2023), giving customers visibility into query cost and self-service throttling diagnosis.
- Designed Guided Hunting integrated filters, merged to staging Aug 2022 and running across 31 early-access tenants and 330 Ring 1 queries — letting analysts build KQL without knowing KQL.
- Designed Query Builder, translating Boolean AND/OR logic and grouping into a visual composer that silently generates valid KQL; specified component anatomy, overflow, and accessibility behaviours.
- Contributed to AskRobin, natural-language-to-KQL, presented to GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke in May 2022 — roughly six months before ChatGPT — establishing intent-first security workflows years ahead of the Copilot pattern.
- Ran a usability study with 9 security professionals (SUS 71) and conducted on-site field research with a SOC team in Hyderabad, producing the “little to no guidance” finding that set the Guided Hunting strategy.
- Designed schema navigation and the multi-thread hunting workspace (tabs, saved queries, templates); core capabilities carried over to the Fluent Tree component.
- Extended Advanced Hunting into multi-tenant management (2023 public preview) — one pane of glass for hunting across tenants.
- Owned design-system enablement — office hours, component guidance, pattern alignment, and SFE / Fluent 2 adoption across security teams.
- Defined accessibility strategy and review readiness across product, engineering, and research.
- Assembled and mobilised a 10-engineer group across multiple pillar teams to ship cross-cutting hunting work.
Selected Projects
- Shared health tracking for patients, caregivers, and families. Designed and built solo. Separates medication-relationship from action-urgency as independent signals, and surfaces uncertainty rather than generating false confidence. Household model with per-contributor attribution.
- Research architecture for AI-native interaction, built solo. Separates the coordination layer (goal, actors, rules, memory) from the representation layer, so one model renders as graphical, conversational, or ambient without rebuilding the intelligence underneath. Includes a working prototype, a case study delegating a repo-wide accessibility fix to an AI coding agent, and a usability study protocol. Guardrails eliminate options before ranking, and every automated step stays inspectable, correctable, and reversible.
